In solidarity, colleagues,
Today marks the end of the campaign for the Works Council elections at the Barcelona office. We want to sincerely thank you for your time, attention, debates, and the support you have given us over these days.
Now begins the day of reflection, an important time to evaluate all the information you have received and decide your vote. We encourage you to participate and exercise your right: your vote is key to building the representation we want for everyone.
Voting dates and times:
- Wednesday, June 10 from 10:00 to 14:00
- Thursday, June 11 from 9:30 to 14:00
- Extended hours: Friday, June 12 from 9:00 to 13:00 and Wednesday, June 17 from 10:00 to 12:00.
We want to close this campaign by sharing the first steps we will take to continue fighting for workers' rights, with the goal of increasing transparency, autonomy, and solidarity in union action at the Barcelona office from within the Works Council.
What will we do if we achieve the necessary majority?
Our first commitment will be to guarantee a participatory, transparent, and collective model from day one:
- Convene a workers' assembly where we decide together on the elected positions of the Works Council, ensuring there is no duplication and that the representation truly reflects the collective will.
- Establish a tracking system for the union hours of our representatives, aiming to ensure an effective, transparent use that is solely focused on defending the rights of the workforce.
What will we do whether we have a majority or not?
Our way of working does not depend on the results. We are committed to continuing to build organization and participation from the ground up:
- We will schedule bimonthly assemblies open to all employees. These will not be merely informational meetings: they will be spaces to debate negotiation strategies and ensure transparent accountability.
- Continue strengthening the CGT union section, growing our membership and participation to increase our capacity for pressure and collective defense.
Whatever happens, we will keep working toward a union model based on absolute transparency, the greatest possible autonomy, and the firm defense of our rights.
Thank you for being there.
